Build Your New Home in Duncansville On Your Land

Build On Your Lot Program Throughout Central Pennsylvania

If you’ve been searching for a new home in the Duncansville area, you already know what makes this part of Pennsylvania so special. With easy access to I-99 and Hollidaysburg, and proximity to popular local spots, it’s a community worth putting down roots in. And here at S&A Homes, we have been helping families do exactly that for years.

In fact, demand for new homes in this area has been so strong that Harvest Glen, a charming maintenance-free duplex community in Duncansville, sold out completely. But just because that community is closed doesn’t mean your opportunity for a brand-new S&A home in the area is gone. Through S&A Homes’ Build on Your Land program, you can have the same quality craftsmanship, energy-efficient construction and personalized design, but on a piece of land you choose.

What Is the Build on Your Land Program?

S&A Homes’ Build on Your Land program gives you access to a library of more than 30 floor plans, all designed to fit a wide range of lifestyles and budgets. You select the design you love, identify a parcel of land in the Duncansville area (or anywhere in Central or South Central Pennsylvania), and S&A Homes takes it from there. Nearly a 30% of all S&A Homes sold are built through this program, so you’re in very good company.

The program is designed to be straightforward, affordable and low-stress. Read this blog to discover the six simple steps that make up the Build on Your Land process.

Build On Your Land FAQs

Do I need to own land to get started?

No, you don’t have to already own land to start S&A Homes’ Build on Your Land process. Our team is glad to help you explore floor plans and pricing before you’ve identified a property. They can also point you in the right direction for finding land in the Duncansville area.

How long does the process take?

Under typical market conditions, the time to build a new home in Duncansville takes between seven and nine months from purchase to completion. Your Sales Representative can give you a more precise timeline based on your specific situation.

What’s included in the base price?

The base price covers the completed home and its standard included features. Land costs, site work, permits, utilities, landscaping, driveways and similar items are separate and will be outlined in your cost estimate after the site visit. Most floor plans include a basement and two-car garage; specific exceptions apply, so ask your Sales Representative for details.

Can I use my own contractors for site work?

Yes, outside contractors are permitted for site-related work outside the home. S&A Homes has preferred partners for excavation, well drilling and septic work, but homebuyers can bring their own licensed contractors, provided they meet all bid parameters, insurance requirements and safety standards.

Can I personalize my home?

Absolutely, you can personalize your home to meet your specific needs and design aesthetic! S&A Homes offers a wide variety of exterior and interior design options. Heritage and Signature Series floor plans also include structural options that can expand square footage or modify living spaces.
