PA New Home Sales are Heating Up!
Thinking of selling or buying PA new homes anytime soon? For those of you selling, you will love this tidbit. For those of you buying, well, let’s just say you may want to make a move sooner rather than later (pardon the pun)! According to a recent press release from the West Penn Multi List, the average price of homes in southwestern Pennsylvania increased 1.25 percent year over year from 2011 to 2012 during the month of March.
Coincidence or trend? Well, considering that the amount of homes that went under agreement increased by more than 20 percent, we are fairly confident the market is heating up in for Pittsburgh new homes and those in the surrounding towns. And while demand is certainly heating up, it seems that inventory levels remain low in the southwestern part of the state, leaving this area’s housing market surprisingly healthy during an otherwise less-than-stellar economy.
