WV new homes on your lot or ours

West Virginia is known for its rolling hills, vast state parks, and beautiful scenery. It is also home to some of the most cutting edge technology firms and medical practices in the state, most of which are located on the I-79 Tech Corridor just south of Morgantown, WV and its environs. Smack dab in the middle of all this action (and scenery) is Bridgeport, WV, a tight knit community that combines small town friendliness with ultra convenient access to the workplace and area shopping and restaurants.

Charles Pointe, a master-planned community of WV new homes in the heart of Bridgeport, offers a myriad of possibilities for anyone who wants to live and work in the area. The community is packed full of amenities, and combines three neighborhoods into one.

Those seeking maintenance-free carriage home living could not ask for an easier life than the one they get at Parkview Village. These spacious townhomes offer first-floor living, spacious kitchens and great rooms in addition to community shopping, walking trails and recreation. Those looking for a bit more land will find it at Worthington Village and Hunter’s Chase. Both are part of the Charles Pointe master-planned Read More

Last Chance to Purchase New Homes in State College at The Landings

Final Opportunities at The Landings

It’s not surprising to us that we are already down to our final two home sites remaining in this phase of The Landings, one of the area’s most popular single-family communities of new homes in State College. The Landings is priced just right – with single family homes starting in the $170,000s, there is no sense paying more money for an older home when you can get a brand new, energy efficient home for the same price, if not less.

What else makes this community so popular? Try its family friendly sidewalks, playgrounds, baseball fields and bike paths that allow commuters to get to downtown State College via bike, walking or car.  Combine that with high quality, energy efficient homes in State College that feature energy saving features like CFL lighting, recycled materials, 2×6 construction and a high performance HVAC, and you couldn’t possibly find more bang for your buck in the area. Pittsburgh new homes

S&A Homes introduces Foxmoor, a community of Pittsburgh new homes

When it comes to picking new homes in Pittsburgh on prime real estate, few people will dispute that Cranberry Township is about as ripe as the pickings get. With an ideal location just off of Route 19, I-79 and the PA Turnpike, the area is better known for having some of the best jobs around, even better schools and all of the shopping and restaurants anyone could wish for.

So, it seems likely that living in this area must come with a steep price tag, right? Wrong! Foxmoor, S&A’s newest community, breaks all of the rules about best location and highest price. How about getting the best location at an extremely affordable price point?

This brand new, townhome community offers a whole lot more than affordable Pittsburgh new homes. The gated community offers maintenance-free living with home sites that range from ¼ acre all the way up to a ½ acre. The neighborhood even offers its residents access to a community pool, clubhouse and open space, so those living in Foxmoor can retreat to their community as though it is a resort destination! Record Low Interest Rates for WV and PA New Homes, Again

low interest rates

Another Low for PA New Home Interest Rates

Boy, we are ALMOST sick of blogging about interest rates, because sometimes it feels like we are a broken record. Well, believe it or not interest rates are yet again at another record low. Just when you think the bottom can’t go any lower, it does, and boy…does that mean some home buyers of WV and PA new homes are getting the bargain of the century (literally)!

Consider this: home prices are at the lowest they have been in years. Top that with a 30-year fixed interest rate that is LESS than 4 percent and you have payments for large single-family homes that may actually be lower than your first apartment’s rent was years ago!

Let’s say you purchased a home for $350,000 in 2005 at 5.5 percent, which, at the time, was an extremely competitive interest rate. With 20 percent down, you were looking at a payment of $1,533 before taxes and insurance. Due to economic pressures, that same home may be closer to $325,000 today and the same 30-year fixed rate is now going for 3.75 percent. It means the payment on the exact same home with 20 percent down is now only $1,204. That’s a monthly savings of $319 with less money out of pocket for the exact same house. Read More

Organizing Post Christmas Chaos in Your PA New Homes

post Christmas chaos

Organizing the post Christmas chaos in your PA new homes

Time to fess up – how many of you still have Christmas gifts shoved in the corner of your living room? Or perhaps stuffed under your bed or just sitting of the floor of your bedroom? The holidays are a fun time of year, but the path of destruction they can leave behind in your PA new homes can be more than a little overwhelming to tackle.

Add kids into the mix and it’s no wonder we are pulling our hair out by the time spring clean comes around. The earlier you tackle the mess, the easier 2012 will go. But, where do you start? Here are some basic, starter tips for organizing your little one’s holiday gifts and getting your sanity back:

  1. Invest in Tupperware! – Keeping the original packaging for kid’s toys is often impractical and sucks up 3 times more room than it needs to. Inexpensive plastic bins are perfect for all of those transformers, Barbie Dolls and Legos that seem to take over the house. Sort open toys by type and include a picture of the type of toy on the front of the bin so kids can be an active part of the cleanup. Plastic storage bins stack nicely on shelves, in closets or even under kids beds to reduce clutter. Read More
