\"4<\/a>At the beginning of the New Year, designers share the trends they expect to see throughout the year. One of the most frequently used spaces and considered the heart of the home, is the kitchen. Check out the top four kitchen trends holding true in 2019 so far:<\/p>\n

Open-Concept Design
\n<\/strong>Home designs have evolved to be more inclusive and open concept, making entertaining friends and family easier than ever. Even with buzz of \u201cdeath to the open floor plan\u201d in 2018, they have yet to disappear! Overall, homebuyers prefer spaces that allow them to stay connected and seamlessly enjoy common living areas. <\/p>\n

Rooms can easily be differentiated by distinctive lighting fixtures while a uniform color and d\u00e9cor trend keep everything cohesive.<\/p>\n

Moody Hues & Two-Tone Cabinets
\n<\/strong>Although dubbed a timeless, classic kitchen trend, bright white kitchens are considered out this year and moody hues are in! From two-tone cabinets to standout backsplashes, there are plenty of ways to mix colors into the kitchen. Backsplashes are getting a lot more attention than in the past. Moving on from the simple white Subway tile trend, homebuyers are now implementing eye-catching color schemes and materials that include Herringbone, marble, natural stone, ceramic tile and metallic mosaics.<\/p>\n

Moody hues, such as navy blue or hunter green, are also growing in popularity and joining the kitchen\u2019s color palette. With two-tone color options growing in popularity, darker flooring is also emerging as a trend, serving as a contrast to lighter cabinet, backsplash and countertop colors.
